CRYSTAL CASTLES !

When i found out they were playing, i pretty much wet myself with excitement. Luckily for me i got a ticket for le freee from a dear friend. I;d heard, namely from Andrew. S, that Alice from Crystal Castles was capable of riots and threw a really big show. It;s all true, well without the riot.

We managed to get a spot upstairs at Capitol overlooking the stage, i was wearing these big high heels and they were half an hour late. I started getting a bit grrrrrrrrrrrrry. When they finally came on, i literally went WOAH ZOMG AMAZING BIG LIGHTS YEH HOTNESS OF BAND ! They really started off with a bang, strobe lights were going off in big spurts, i wasn;t drunk nor on any illegal substances (they;re illegal gosh !) but that first song did something of the sort that substances could produce. It blew me away.

Alice, she looks fucked up, as in oh em gee is she overdosing ? on videos i;ve seen, but she was lyk that, it wasn;t played up, it was real. Half the time i was terrified that she was about to die, the other half was thinking wow this is a good show. She jumped around, stood on the drum kit, broke the fallback speakers (repeatedly), kicked off a security guard from grabbing her out of the audience, hit people behind the stage, lay on the floor, smacked microphones into the broken speakers, pushed those speakers to the floor (the sound guy ended up giving up and leaving) ha !, she was literally fucking crazy. She sent the mosh pit crazy, it was so fucking hot in Capitol, to be pushed against a number of other people, i don;t know how anyone survived that heat and pushing, but people endured it and loved the show. Whenever Alice was in the audience, she copped a good feel. Boys.

It was really a show, a t-shirt was even purchased, i wear it proud. Listen to airwar, it;s my favourite track off the album. Those who weren;t there, totally missed out. It was fucking awesome.

On more serious news, this credit crunch fucking sucks.

talking about electrelane for three paragraphs,

and gee wiz they broke up last year.

La Musica !

Pretty much i really wanted to add more electrelane to the mix tape, but i wasn;t allowed to namely because it;s been on the other 2 previous mix tapes, the last one misteriously dissappeared. clearly it;s spelt mysteriously, i corrected myself YEH !

So the reason of wanting electrelane on every mix tape thingy magig is because of the fact that i find them fucking great. They relax me & i thoroughly enjoi it. Just letting you know that it;s what i;m listening to the most. However this is how bad i am, the other day i was lyk 'Andrew i hell love electrelane, i told my friend about them but he doesn;t know who they are, nor Animal Collective or Foals' and he replied 'He;ll know about Foals soon' (obviously because Foals are also really fucking awesome and because they;re so awesome some dick will find out about them on their third released album and find them oh so wicked) And so i was lyk 'Yeh probably' and then he goes 'He won;t end up knowing about electrelane' and i was lyk 'Oh why ?' and to my shock ! horror ! (it;s funny to me), he replies, 'Because they;ve broken up'. To this i reply with tears, i cried a river, yes just lyk the Justin Timberlake song, i did it, but to electrelane not Justin Timberlake, if that makes any sense. Clearly this means i;m a dick because i didn;t know they were broken up and they happen to make me really happy when i listen to them, i guess i;ll have to listen to all their songs on repeat for the rest of my life. I;m cool with that.

electrelane is not with a captiol E because i pretty much think they;re the shit. If i ever get around to doing some solo stuff, it;s gonna sound lyk them with added glockenspiel, which buy the way asincla2 i haven;t recieved yet and i really want it, so i can spend my time tinkling away into oblivion. So when i release my solo album you;ll have to get it, i;m going to release about 55 albums, all will go double platinum, no make that triple, quadruple, a millionuple times platinum and gold, wait platinum is better than gold isn;t it ? Well whichever is highest in value, because my music will be that awesome and everyone will love it. (clearly it would mean i;m going to go broke from buying that many of my albums because i;ll only be my biggest fan) YEH ! i look forward to what the future holds for me.

So yes i came on to spiel (correct spelling, well if it was in a dictionary this is how it would be sound spelt, sh-peel) about Electrelane (mistake with the captiol letter WOAH !) as i think they;re great. I;ll also add that i really enjoi Animal Collective, waiting for their new album ! And obviously Foals tickles my fancy x ALOT. Oh and you should all try listening to Music for 18 Musicians by Steve Reich, it will change you.

I;m going to signout now, but i hope you understood the moral of this story, which of course is Natasha from Shock ! Horror ! thinks electrelane is really, really great and you should all buy her flowers because of this. THANKYOU !
